Brief History of Zion
Zion National Park was established in 1909 and is the oldest national park in Utah. It is comprised of 229 square miles of stunning red rock canyons and towering mountains. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including mountain lions, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and a variety of birds. There are also several archaeological sites in the park, such as the Kolob Arch, which is one of the largest freestanding arches in the world.

The Angels Landing Trail is one of the most popular and challenging hikes in Zion, with steep switchbacks and breathtaking views of the canyon. The Narrows is a 16–mile round trip hike that passes through a beautiful slot canyon. The Canyon Overlook Trail is a 1–mile round trip trail that passes through a stunning canyon with views of the valley. The Emerald Pools Trail is a 3–mile round trip that passes through lush vegetation and the three Emerald Pools.

Getting to Zion
Zion National Park is located in Southern Utah and is easily accessible from Las Vegas, St. George, and Salt Lake City. The closest airport is the St. George Municipal Airport, and there is a shuttle service that runs from Springdale to the park.
