Closest Airports To Zion National Park

Closest airports to use when traveling to Zion national park

If you are flying into Zion National National Park these are the top three closest airports we would recommend using.

Zion National Park is a popular destination located in the southwestern United States, and there are several airports located in the area that can serve as convenient entry points for your visit. Here are some of the best (and closest) airports to fly into if you’re planning a trip to Zion National Park:

  1. St. George Municipal Airport (SGU) – Located just 45 minutes from Zion National Park, the St. George Municipal Airport is the closest airport to the park. The airport has regular flights from several major cities, including Denver, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. This airport is smaller in size so you may need to first fly to a connecting airport to find flights that have routes here.
  2. McCarran International Airport (LAS) – Located in Las Vegas, McCarran International Airport is about a 2.5-hour drive from Zion National Park. While it’s farther away from the park than St. George Municipal Airport, it is a major hub with flights from all over the country, making it a convenient option for travelers coming from farther away.
  3. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) – Located about 3.5 hours from Zion National Park, Salt Lake City International Airport is another option for travelers coming from farther away. The airport has a wide range of domestic and international flights, making it a convenient choice for travelers coming from all over the world.

No matter which airport you choose to fly into, it’s important to plan ahead and make sure you have transportation arranged to get you to and from the park. There are several shuttle and tour companies that offer transportation services to and from Zion National Park, so you can easily find a solution that works for you. An option that many of our guests have used to get to the nearby city of St. George is to use the St. George shuttle service. This shuttle is available from the salt lake and Las Vegas airports and will bring you all the way to St George, UT. Make sure to visit their website prior to your visit to book a shuttle.

Overall, the best airport to fly into for a visit to Zion National Park will depend on your specific travel plans and where you’re coming from. By considering the proximity of the airport to the park, as well as the availability of flights from your location, you can choose the best option for your trip.
